As a Security Officer with ISS, you will be at the forefront of creating a safe environment, protecting your colleagues and our customer's property, people, and assets by providing exemplary security operations.
The Role
1. Remaining vigilant and identifying any suspicious activities
2. Preventing any unauthorised access
3. Acting as a front-of-house representative, dealing with visitors and clients as they enter the building
4. Patrolling the client’s external and internal facilities, dealing promptly with any suspicious incidents that may occur onsite
5. Attending all incidents as directed and acting as a first-line response in emergency situations
6. Escalating or reporting any incidents to the appropriate persons: Communications Centre, Line Manager, Mobile Supervisor, Client, or Police when necessary
7. Responding to any intruder alarms during night shifts and assisting individual units when required
8. Writing reports for any incidents or daily occurrences
9. Dealing with visitors and clients onsite in a polite and courteous manner
A minimum of 42 hours per week, averaged over a 13-week period, working both days and nights.
About You
10. Previous security experience
11. A valid front-line security guarding, door supervision or close protection SIA license
12. Knowledge and experience with security systems and other related tech
13. Great attention to detail and a consistent approach
14. A team player with good customer service skills
15. New recruits will be encouraged to enrol onto the relevant apprenticeship as part of their training and development
16. Must have a full ten year checkable work history in the UK (required for SC Security clearance) and current valid passport
