Role Description: This is a self‑employed role based in Knutsford, with some remote work flexibility. As a Counsellor at Stable Minds CIC, you will provide therapeutic services to individuals and groups, addressing a range of challenges such as anxiety, trauma, and addiction. Daily activities will include conducting one‑on‑one counselling sessions, facilitating support groups, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals. The role also involves creating and delivering day workshops and offering personalized care recommendations for clients navigating crisis situations.
Qualifications
* Strong foundation in counseling techniques, psychotherapy practices, and emotional support strategies
* Expertise in group facilitation and experience conducting support sessions aimed at issues such as mental health challenges, addiction, or trauma
* Skills in active listening, empathy, and effective communication
* Proficiency in maintaining confidentiality and adhering to mental health regulatory standards and guidelines
* Ability to assess client needs, develop care plans, and recommend appropriate resources
* Relevant academic qualifications in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field
* Previous experience in a therapeutic or counseling role focusing on mental health is highly desirable
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work structure—comfort with in‑person and remote work expectations
