Main duties of the job
You will work collaboratively with the Lead Nurse to ensure efficient day‑to‑day operational management of the CTCCU. The post holder will be visible, easily identifiable and accessible to patients, relatives and all staff working within the clinical area, providing excellent clinical leadership. They will take responsibility for the strategic leadership of a clinical team and promote contemporary and proactive approaches to intensive care nursing practice.

* Promote the Cardiothoracic (CTCCU) Nursing Philosophy in clinical practice.
* Demonstrate expert knowledge and skills in managing the complex and changing health care needs of the critically ill patient, integrating theory and practice.
