Pharmacy Support Worker - Medicines Receipt & Delivery Services
The post holder will undertake the secure and timely receipt, storage and distribution of medicines within the Trust. They will be responsible for the duties of receiving, unpacking, checking and entering onto the pharmacy computer system and any UK medicines verification database available, all medicines purchased by the Trust. They will also undertake the specialist lifting and secure delivery of medicinal bulk fluids, medicines and controlled drugs to wards and clinic areas. This job also involves working weekend shifts and late shifts as part of a small dispensary based team on a rotational basis. Previous experience is preferred but not essential but you must have experience in lifting and handling of inanimate objects. A good level of fitness is required for this role as it involves frequent walking and standing.
