The Role
As a Sales Assistant you’ll support your store team in driving sales performance and in the day‑day operation of the store, delivering exceptional customer service and experience to optimise KPI performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as an ambassador for the store, ensuring an outstanding shopping experience for every customer.
* Drive store performance by maximising sales opportunities and supporting the team to meet and exceed targets through focused KPI delivery.
* Deliver exceptional, market‑leading customer service to drive business growth through loyalty and repeat purchases.
* Provide a VIP concierge service by actively contacting customers with product updates and tasting invitations.
* Sell the story not the discount, sharing your passion for product with an in‑depth knowledge of our range.
* Take ownership for your wine knowledge, continually learning to support your WSET qualification and confidence in selling.
* Maintain the physical appearance and upkeep of the store, both internally and externally.
* Engage in all operational tasks required for the day‑day running of a Majestic Wine store, including wine delivery, merchandising, and customer outreach.
* Identify opportunities to optimise operational running and contribute ideas to the wider team.
* Remain fully compliant, safe, and legal by following internal policies, processes, and completing mandatory training.
* Act as a role model of Majestic’s Ways of Working, providing support to junior team members and feeding back to the Store Manager.
* As a key holder, understand opening and closing compliance and confidently operate the store independently.

* A can‑do attitude with a passion for seeing problems through to solutions.

* Excellent communication and time‑management skills.
* Wine knowledge is beneficial; passion to learn more is essential to pass level 2 WSET wine qualifications.
* Hold a full UK/EU/EEA driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points.

Job Specifics
* Contract: Permanent.
* Hours: 16 hours per week.
* Must be able to work weekends and evenings.
