Senior Associate - Serious Injury | 5+ PQE | Southampton
Every client you'll meet in this role has had their life turned upside down. A father who has suffered a spinal cord injury. A teenager rebuilding their life after a traumatic brain injury. A family grieving after the loss of a loved one. When people are facing these life-changing events, they need more than just a lawyer, they need someone who listens, who stands with them, who helps them find a way forward. That's where you come in. The firm This firms story began as a small high street firm with a big ambition: to fight for the outcomes that matter most. That spirit still guides them today. From those humble beginnings, they've grown into a top 100 firm with five offices nationwide. Yet no matter how far they've come, they've never lost sight of what matters: people. Here, you'll find a supportive, forward-thinking culture where colleagues back each other, where self-belief is just as important as technical skill, and where you'll have the chance to do the kind of work that leaves a lasting impact. The role As a Senior Associate in our Serious Injury team, you'll work with adults and children who have experienced catastrophic injuries, from traumatic brain and spinal injuries to amputations and fatal accidents. You'll build close relationships with clients and their families, often becoming a trusted guide as they navigate the toughest chapter of their lives. You'll collaborate with healthcare professionals, charities, and expert counsel to make sure your clients get the rehabilitation, support and outcomes they deserve. Alongside managing your own complex caseload, you'll work closely with partners and colleagues in a nationally recognised team, known for its expertise, compassion and results. What we're looking for Proven experience in complex, high-value personal injury cases Strong understanding of Civil Procedure Rules and protocols Technical ability paired with empathy and sensitivity Excellent organisation and client-care skills A team player who enjoys networking, community work and business development What's on offer A supportive team culture where your work makes a genuine difference A generous benefits package, including 25+ days' holiday, CSR days, birthday leave, hybrid working, and death in service cover Opportunities to get involved with partner charities and community initiatives Professional growth and development within a nationally recognised team Why join?
