We are seeking an active, enthusiastic SEN teaching assistant willing to support children with special needs. You will be supporting children aged between 11-16 in a specialist school based in Harrogate, HG1 area. You will be working from Monday through Friday in a full time position. (Timings: 8:30AM - 3:30PM).

Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Working closely with teachers and specialists to develop personalised learning plans
2. Establishing trust and tailored communication with all pupils
3. Providing one-on-one support and adjusting teaching methods
4. Cultivating an inclusive and encouraging learning environment
5. Empowering SEN children to enhance skills, confidence, and independence
6. Promoting academic and social success through dedication
7. Offering opportunities for fostering independence
Requirements:
8. To be a supportive member of the SEND team.
9. The ability to handle complex and sensitive issues with empathy and understanding.
10. A good understanding of the national Key Stage Curriculum.
11. A sound understanding of child development and learning.
12. An Enhanced DBS check or ready to acquire one through randstad.
13. Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship
14. Knowledge of various special educational needs and associated strategies.
