The University of Roehampton in conjunction with QA Higher Education (QAHE) offers 4-year degrees in Business Management and Computing Systems. QAHE is seeking to expand its team of experienced and well qualified lecturers to support provision of these courses at the University's central London (Rosebery Avenue) and Birmingham locations. Successful applicants will be joining an experienced and well-motivated team of lecturers accustomed to working with mature learners, those returning to study after a significant break and learners whose first language is not English. Creation of a high quality and rich student focused learning and teaching environment is at the core of the delivery of these programmes. Applicants from lecturers with significant experience of teaching functional maths, business studies and computing at level 3 are encouraged. Lecturers with experience of teaching business organisations, marketing/digital marketing, accounting and quantitative methods at level 4 and above are also encouraged to apply. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a successful track record of creating and sustaining a high quality student centred learning and teaching environment, leading to excellent student outcomes. Experience of academic management at module level and above would be a significant advantage as would experience of working in a partnership environment with universities. Candidates will ideally be qualified to at least masters level in a relevant field with PhD holders preferred, have a professional qualification where appropriate, HEA membership and relevant industrial experience. Demonstrable research activity is also an advantage. Support is also available, if required, to help staff gain/progress HEA membership. QAHE aims to reach 100% membership of the HEA within a 12 month time scale. QAHE is interested in applicants seeking either permanent (full time and fractional) or associate roles.
