About The Role Of Service Technician
We are looking for a Service Technician who can support the development of the next generation of IoT technologies to enhance Worker Safety and promote Digital Supervision within roadworks. The Service Technician will support our multi‑disciplined engineering team in the development of new products for our extensive range of products.
Responsibilities
* Build electronic circuits using precision tools for surface mount components as appropriate
* Fault‑find electronic circuits using schematics as the guide
* Develop applications based on existing products and produce the associated wiring diagrams
* Support the testing and certification of the company’s new products
* Assist with the transition of products from development into manufacture
* Support the generation of product documentation
* Support the operations teams in solving production issues
* Create and maintain appropriate level of electronic product documentation, including product guides and operating instructions as required
* Issue investigation and resolution on new and legacy electronics products
* Ability to multitask on several tasks that are running concurrently
Required Qualifications and Skills
* City and Guilds or HND qualification in relevant subjects
* Right to work in the UK, unsponsored
* Experience as a technician/engineer dealing with electronic devices
* Experience in fault‑finding on electronic circuits
* Experience in product testing
* Knowledge of key engineering design tools for schematic entry, PCB layout or producing wiring diagrams
* An open and positive outlook, with an interest in exploring new technologies and ideas
* Ability to work effectively on own initiative within a multi‑disciplined engineering team
* Good standard of English written and spoken
