We are currently looking for an Assistant Producer to join our Public Programming team on a full time, permanent basis.

The Public Programming team is central in Southbank Centre’s mission to be a place where as many people as possible can come together to experience art and culture. The team leads a year-round programme of events, workshops and projects designed to engage and inspire people of all ages and backgrounds. As an Assistant Producer, you will be responsible for delivering efficient project-to-project support to the Public Programming team, directly contributing to the successful planning and production of diverse projects and events.

The annual salary stated is based on the Full-Time Equivalent (40 hours per week). If the job is part-time, the weekly hours will be stated within the advert.

Key Responsibilities

* To assist members of the Public Programming team on individual projects as allocated by the Head of Public Programming.

* To carry out all necessary aspects of project management such as arranging meetings, project planning with artists, following up appropriate action points, booking rooms, making travel arrangements, offering fees and financial processing, drafting and issuing contracts, planning and conducting evaluations and risk assessments, collating data.

* To run the day to day management and tracking of project budgets with the support of the relevant Public Programme Producer or Festival Producer.

* To work closely with other internal Southbank Centre teams to assess feasibility and practical delivery of all projects, ensuring information is shared across departments in a timely manner and recorded properly on internal systems, to ensure the smooth handover of projects, events and productions to the Event Management, Production and other delivery teams.

* To foster positive relationships with artists and facilitators, undertaking meetings to discuss ideas for projects and supporting them to make their best work.



Skills & Experience

* Has high accuracy and attention to detail in work produced.

* Is well organised and able to multitask and prioritise, when working on multiple projects at once, with strong time management skills.

* Is able to work well and communicate with a wide range of people, with tact and diplomacy.

* Has a demonstrable interest in arts and culture that have a focus on collaborative and participatory practice.

* Has a flexible, creative approach to work and problem-solving, and can stay calm under pressure.
