Your responsibilities as Deputy Financial Crime Director
Support strategic leadership of financial crime operations across fraud, AML, and transaction monitoring
Lead fraud prevention and investigation initiatives across payment products and client segments
Oversee monitoring frameworks to ensure effective detection and response to emerging threats
Act as a senior escalation point for complex cases
Drive cross-functional improvements across risk, compliance, legal, and technology teams
Enhance reporting, MI, and data-driven insights for senior leadership and board-level visibility
What we’re looking for in a Deputy Financial Crime Director
Extensive experience within financial crime leadership in a UK regulated banking or payments environment
Strong background in fraud prevention, investigations, and payment fraud risk
Deep understanding of AML frameworks, transaction monitoring, and Three Lines of Defence models
Experience working with regulators and industry bodies such as FCA and payment schemes
Proven experience implementing or improving financial crime and fraud control frameworks
Working hours
Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00. 4-days per week onsite.
