A GCE English Literature (New Specification) Moderator will review the centre assessment of candidates’ work in accordance with the agreed assessment criteria and Pearson's procedures. Each moderator will moderate a specified number of centre samples.
Responsibilities
1. Carry out moderation of parts of a subject examination, such as coursework, projects, and special studies, which are marked initially by teachers and sent to you. Moderation will usually involve sampling procedures.
2. Undertake, when necessary, the direct assessment of school-based components in the subject where centres opt not to make initial assessments.
3. Complete and submit centre reports to the Team Leader or Principal Moderator as required.
Experience/Qualifications Needed
1. One academic year's teaching experience within the last 8 years in the relevant qualification and subject.
2. A degree or equivalent.
3. Qualified teacher status.

* Ability to work well under pressure.
* Ability to meet deadlines.
* High level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme.
Additional Information
* Marking period: May - July.
* Training for examiners: May to June.
