About The Role
As the Business Development Director, you will be responsible for driving Grainger & Worrall’s growth strategy by identifying and securing new business opportunities, expanding our market presence, and fostering strategic partnerships. You will collaborate with key stakeholders, develop long-term client relationships, and ensure alignment with the company’s overall objectives.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Establishing, implementing, and evolving business development strategies to achieve order intake targets.
* Monitoring industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and obstacles.
* Creating and maintaining a pipeline of potential opportunities to develop new orders, partnerships, and revenue streams.
* Building and nurturing relationships with customers, partners, and industry peers.
* Guiding negotiations, securing contracts, and onboarding new customers or partners.
* Overseeing and mentoring the business winning team, providing training and performance management.
* Collaborating with delivery, engineering, finance, and other teams for coordinated market penetration.
Who We’re Looking For
You’ll have extensive experience in business development within the defence and aerospace sectors, with a proven track record of growth and closing high-value deals. You should be motivated to join a medium-sized company and contribute significantly to its expansion.
* Minimum of 15 years in business development, sales, or related fields.
* Proven success in driving order book growth and closing complex deals.
* Strong influence, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
* Excellent communication and negotiation capabilities.
* Strategic thinker with problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in CRM tools and data analysis.
* Existing network in defence and aerospace industries.
