The Role
* Leading and managing the full design process from pre‑construction through to project completion
* Coordinating multidisciplinary design teams, consultants, and subcontractors
* Driving design strategy, programme management, and technical compliance
* Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact throughout the project life cycle
* Ensuring all design meet MOD/MOJ standards, regulations, and security requirements
* Supporting operational teams to ensure successful project delivery
* Mentoring and supporting junior Design Manager within the business
Requirements
* Proven experience in a Senior Design Manager or Design Manager position
* Background delivering MOD, MOJ, defence, custodial, healthcare, or other complex projects
* Strong technical construction knowledge and commercial awareness
* Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and work streams effectively
