Description
Keoghs is a leading provider of legal and claims solutions to insurers, businesses, and other players in the insurance sector.
The department handles pursuing subrogated recoveries for insurer clients. This new role within our post-litigation team involves managing a portfolio of Delegated (DA) litigated cases where no defence has been received, ensuring damages and costs are recovered, requesting judgments timely, and referring cases to enforcement if necessary. Additionally, there will be a small allocation of liability-admitted vehicle damage claims for training purposes and a potential progression route.
Key Accountabilities
* Organise, prioritise, and manage your workload according to standard procedures to meet critical dates, KPIs, and SLAs.
* Manage litigation processes effectively to meet KPIs and SLAs, including:
o Adhering to court deadlines
o Drafting court documents
o Applying for judgments
o Negotiating quantum and settlements
o Ensuring prompt payment of damages and costs
o Instructing enforcement actions
* Use case management systems effectively to ensure:
o Accurate and timely reserving of cases and information
o Meeting critical dates
o Documenting actions and strategies via file notes
o Labeling documents clearly
o Populating relevant client MI for case status updates
* Deliver quality work meeting audit standards.
* Drive personal development.
* Contribute to team efforts by collaborating to achieve targets and maintaining positive morale.
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
* Experience in a legal environment or legal academic background.
* Preferable experience in quantum negotiations or tort law knowledge.
* Proven ability to:
o Meet deadlines
o Handle calls and enquiries
o Organise and prioritise workload using case management systems
o Work collaboratively within a team
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
* Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Open to constructive feedback and continuous improvement.
