We are recruiting on behalf of our client who are a leading Manufacturing company based in Brownhills that are looking to expand their workforce and recruiting for a skilled and experienced Manaul Lathe Operator with Vertical Borer experience.
We are seeking a skilled manual lathe turner to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating Manual turning lathes to produce precision parts and components, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the machining process. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
* Operate manual Centre lathes machines and other related equipment to manufacture parts according to specifications.
* Operating a vertical borer with precision working with tight tolerance.
* Set up tooling and fixtures for production runs, and one offs ensuring all materials are handled safely and effectively.
* Conduct regular inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
* Perform routine start up checks on machinery and report any issues to the supervisor.
* Assemble components as required, utilising hand tools and basic maths skills for accurate measurements.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Skills
* Proficiency in operating turning lathes with a strong understanding of conventional machining procedures.
* Familiarity with tooling setups and the ability to manufacture parts from raw materials.
* Strong basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations.
* Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
