About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of Dominus for a Senior HR and People Manager. This is a hands‑on, senior HR role responsible for managing the full employee lifecycle at Dominus, including recruitment, onboarding, HR operations, performance management, employee relations, and learning and development. Reporting to the CEO and Operations Manager, the role works closely with senior leadership and department heads to ensure HR practices are consistent, compliant, and aligned with business goals. It also plays a key role in fostering engagement, wellbeing, and a strong company culture. The role manages our outsourced HR partner, Black Mountain, and supports the development and maintenance of talent pipelines across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Recruitment (50%) – Develop recruitment strategy, own hiring process, define role requirements, source candidates via LinkedIn, headhunting, referrals, and industry networking, lead the end‑to‑end selection process, strengthen employer brand, implement structured onboarding, manage probation periods and new hire development, build talent pipelines.
* HR Operations & Employee Experience (50%) – Act as first point of contact for HR matters, manage relationship with outsourced partner Black Mountain (contracts, benefits, administration), design & oversee performance review process, conduct salary/benefits review, deliver clear HR communications, provide guidance on employee relations, identify training needs, lead company initiatives and social events.

About You
* 5‑7 years of HR and recruitment experience, ideally in real estate, construction or a related sector.
* CIPD qualified (Level 5 minimum; Level 7 desirable).
* Sound knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
* Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of projects from end to end.
* Strong communication skills with confidence to partner across all levels of the business.
* Proven ability to manage ER cases and handle sensitive or difficult conversations with composure, diplomacy, and professionalism.
* Strong working knowledge of HR systems and technology, with the ability to use data and tools to improve HR processes and reporting.
