Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst - £370 per day - Inside IR35 - Remote with occassional attendance to a site in Bridgwater, Sommerset - Contract until end of 2026. Our client, one of the biggest producers of ZERO CARON energy, is seeking an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to lead the design, development and delivery of high-quality reporting and data insight solutions within a complex, regulated project environment. This role sits at the heart of their Quality / PMO function and will play a critical part in transforming data into actionable intelligence to support strategic decision-making and operational performance. You will combine deep technical expertise in Power BI and data modelling with strong stakeholder engagement skills, acting as a trusted partner across the organisation. Key Responsibilities - Lead requirements gathering for reporting and analytics solutions Translate complex business needs into scalable BI solutions Design and develop advanced Power BI dashboards and reports Build and maintain robust data models using DAX, M (Power Query), and SQL Manage reporting backlogs and prioritise delivery milestones Implement Row Level Security and uphold data governance standards Transform and manipulate complex data across multiple quality reporting disciplines Train and support end users to maximise adoption and value Act as a representative for the Quality PMO where required Champion data-driven decision making and continuous improvement Essential Skills & Experience - Significant experience in Business Intelligence and data visualisation Advanced Power BI expertise including: DAX Power Query (M Language) Data modelling and transformation Row Level Security implementation Strong understanding of ETL processes and relational databases Experience gathering reporting requirements in complex environments Knowledge of SQL and database structures (tables, schemas, relationships) Experience managing reporting backlogs and delivering to milestones Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills Strong analytical capability and attention to detail Desirable - Experience with Databricks Experience within a Project Controls or PMO environment Experience in regulated industries or major complex projects Quality monitoring/reporting experience DevOps exposure Knowledge of Visio and/or PowerApps PRINCE2, PMQ or other project management training Personal Attributes - We're looking for someone who is: Pragmatic and delivery-focused Comfortable working under pressure in a regulated setting Data-driven and analytically rigorous Collaborative across organisational boundaries Able to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement Committed to behaviours rooted in Humility, Positivity, Respect, Solidarity and Clarity
