Maintenance Mechanic

Position Overview:
This position is responsible for ensuring the continuous functionality of all production equipment.
Hours: 6 PM to 6 AM, 3 day/4 day rotating week schedule with alternating weekends
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform regularly scheduled preventive maintenance on all production equipment and machinery.
* Perform emergency repairs on all production equipment and machinery.
* Conform to all procedures regarding spare parts usage.
* Perform repairs and maintenance according to any and all OSHA and other safety requirements, i.e.: lockout/tagout.
* Perform all maintenance and repairs in an accurate, complete and timely manner.
* Maintain mechanical availability of all production equipment.
* Maintain mechanical availability of all facility equipment.
Other Important Responsibilities:
* Maintain a daily log of Preventive Maintenance and downtime through Computerized Maintenance Management System, Simplicity CMMS
* Maintain a daily work log and EOD/end of day email report to Upper management.
* Assist the Parts Inventory Clerk with proper specs and info when sourcing parts for repairs and regular maintenance.
* Work with outside contractors during routine maintenance and emergency repairs.
* Timely Corrective Action response and resolution to relevant situations.
* As required, will install new equipment, facility upgrades, perform repair work as needed and support production.
* Engage and support companywide Safety and Cleanliness Programs.
* As part of the EMS- Environment Management System, will meet compliance obligations and accountability by contributing but not limited to the company's recycling guidelines, proper waste and other environmental performance practices
* Will be required to perform other job functions, as assigned
Qualifications:
* A minimum 7-10 years (or more) of relevant experience.
* Electrical, Mechanical, Welding, Electro-Mechanical and equipment training, a plus.
* High School Graduate required. Vocational Degree .
* Experience with a virtual work order and spare parts management system .
* Strong analytical skills.
* Task oriented excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize work load.
* Enthusiastic attitude, cooperative team player, adaptable to new or changing circumstances, professional demeanor, self-motivated, creative and innovative.
Physical requirements and work environment:
* Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
* Must be able to sustain physical work for 8+ hours on a standard 3 shift operation or 12+ hours per day on 24/7 operation. Also includes the following:
o Standing
o Reaching and pulling
o Sight
o Walking through shop
o Bending, climbing and crouching.
* Office environment is of moderate noise level.
* Shop noise levels are such that protective ear-coverings are recommended.
* Sometimes subject to external weather conditions.
* Short notice, overtime demand according to equipment or facility breakdowns.
* Repair work on heavy equipment often in a seated or standing position.
* Grease, oil, water exposure.
* Mechanics must provide all industry required hand tools and tool box. Checklist will be provided. All specialty tools will be provided by CompoSecure.
