Eaton's manufacturing plant in Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, specializes in alarm, signal, control, and notification equipment and is now looking for a Manufacturing Process Engineer to join their site team.
What You'll Do
The Manufacturing Process Engineer provides production with all the required program data for blank production and late configuration to maintain the production schedule. Ensures programming enables meeting timescale, sheet utilization, and productivity targets.
Responsibilities
1. Collate production schedule data and prepare data for use in Radan Project software and Trumpf TruTops Cell Software.
2. Program the work for both the 2D and 3D Laser machines promptly, optimizing raw material use and fulfilling the planned schedule.
3. Maintain standard programming data, ensuring all data, including that within RADAN, is accurate.
4. Produce laser symbols for product variants to fulfill customer orders.
5. Maintain Sheet Remnants to minimize material wastage and enable efficient throughput.
6. Ensure SAP Data is maintained and updated accordingly.
7. Work closely with the fabrication team to maximize the efficiency of laser cutting operations.
Qualifications
1. Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
2. Ability to interpret customer drawings to create parts that meet expectations and standards.
3. Good technical knowledge of CNC machinery in an engineering or sheet metal manufacturing environment is advantageous.
4. Proficiency in 2D/3D laser programming.
