The Wilkins Group is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join and support their Production Team in Nottingham. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth and efficient warehouse operations across all shifts. The successful candidate will be fully supported by the business and will become an integral part of the production team, overseeing and coordinating the Warehouse Operative team while managing all related supervisory tasks.
Location: Nottingham.
Contract Type: Permanent Position.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading a team of warehouse operatives and team leaders to ensure all warehouse functions are covered to support daily production requirements
* Liaising with departmental managers to ensure the continuous flow of finished stock from production end, to finished stock locations
* Ensuring finished stock picks are completed in a timely manner.
* Ensure high hygiene standards are adhered to on the factory floor / yard area, and that they are sustained throughout daily activities
* Support manager with the training of new team members
* Ensure all warehouse operatives comply with all quality, process and health and safety procedures.
* Management and monitoring of all MHE driving standards, pre-use checks, and defect reporting.
Key Experience
* Our ideal candidate will need to be motivated, proactive with a can-do attitude.
* Excellent communication skills at all levels Able to communicate effectively with your team and other departmental managers.
* Competent IT skills relating to using a WMS and Microsoft software packages such as - Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Excellent organisational skills and prioritising workload.
* Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
* The ability to develop relationships internally within the operational function and externally with other key supporting functions.
* Be able to do a two shift systems which is Monday to Friday (06:00am to 14:00pm 14:00pm to 22:00pm)
