We have a fantastic opportunity for a Health and Safety Manager to join our team covering the London Region with flexible working.The salary on offer is from £53,000 + £3000 car allowance also eligibility for our annual 10% bonus.This is a 12-month FTC.
About the role:
The Regional Health and Safety Manager (London), whilst reporting directly to the National Health and Safety Lead (Delivery) will have responsibility for driving and leading the health and safety engagement and performance across the London Region. Working closely with the Regional Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team, the Regional Health and Safety Manager (London) will drive the implementation of the NHSPS (NHS Property Services) Health and Safety Management System, ensuring that safety accountabilities and responsibilities are clearly understood for all colleagues in all functions. The Regional Health and Safety Manager (London) will lead an annual regional plan of improvement for health and safety performance which also considers the continual development of a positive Health and Safety Culture. The successful candidate must hold a full current driving license.
What you will bring to the role:
* Ensuring that the organisations Health and Safety Management System is implemented consistently across their region of responsibility and in line with central expectations.
* Contributing to the development of the NHSPS Annual Health and Safety Plan and then supporting the region to deliver against National KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) set, ensuring all are aware of their responsibilities to achieve the goals.
* Working with the Regional Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team to embed and drive the annual Regional Health and Safety Plan and necessary improvements and monitor their progress against set targets (indicators).
* Preparation of regional reports for the Regional Senior Leadership Team and Regional Health and Safety Forum on a format agreed by the National Health and Lead (Delivery).
* Support on all health and safety topics including, but not limited to water management, permit to work, COSHH and CDM, working closely with other National Health and Safety Leads for Hard and Soft FM, maintaining consistency of approach with central processes.
* Provide professional advice to the Regional Senior Leadership Team, in line with requirements detailed in the NHSPS Health and Safety Management System.
* Driving the organisations behavioural safety culture by raising awareness and leading by example, this includes leading campaigns within the region to raise awareness of safety culture and ownership.
* Ensuring that all incidents at work are reported using the company reporting system and that responsible managers are made aware and investigate within agreed timeframes; this includes provide them with training.
