Working closely with the FD and senior stakeholders, the GM plays a pivotal role across operational areas including Health & Safety, Facilities, Quality, and wider contract, insurance and governance activity. The GM supports strategic business growth, ensuring business continuity, cost optimisation, and risk mitigation across key contracts and service operations. GENERAL MANAGER STOKE ON TRENT PERMANENT FULL TIME 9AM 5.30PM MON-FRI £50-£55K DOE PLUS BONUS (OTE £65K) THE ROLE Lead business operations across property, leases, facilities management, and non-product procurement Own key Group policies and procedures, ensuring standardisation and regulatory compliance Manage Group-wide insurance, contracts, intellectual property, and governance Oversee ISO 9001 and support ISO 14001 initiatives Manage supplier relationships, external legal counsel, and service providers Lead operational contract negotiations, performance tracking, and risk mitigation Line manage staff across Quality, H&S, and Facilities functions WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Degree-level education or equivalent experience in a quality or operations-based role Considerable experience in non-sales contract management or a similar strategic operations role Strong understanding of legal frameworks, contract models, ISO and insurance governance Solid financial acumen with experience in project management and process implementation.
