Data Analyst – York (Hybrid, 3 Days Onsite) – £30,000 to £40,000

We're recruiting for a Data Analyst to join a high-impact organisation based in York. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a growing data function that is undergoing significant internal investment and is integral to strategic decision-making across the business.
In this role, you’ll work with large-scale, complex datasets – both quantitative and qualitative – applying statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and visualisation techniques to support business reporting, stakeholder engagement, and research projects.

What you’ll be doing:
* Deliver regular and ad hoc reporting to internal and external stakeholders
* Produce high-quality analysis using statistical programming (R or Python)
* Work with the Secure Research Service and other datasets to evaluate programmes and audience engagement
* Develop dashboards and visual reporting tools using Power BI (or similar)
* Present complex findings in a clear, actionable way to non-technical audiences
* Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to embed evidence-informed decision-making
What we’re looking for:
* A degree with strong maths/statistics content or 3+ years’ experience in quantitative analysis
* Proficiency in R or Python
* Experience using a data visualisation tool (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
Soft skills:
* Strong communicator able to explain data insights to non-specialist audiences
* Comfortable working with a high level of autonomy
* A collaborative team player with a proactive approach
