Are you an experienced Printer looking for your next challenge? Do you want to work with the market leader in banknote production? We have an exciting opportunity for a Printer to join our team at our site in Loughton, Essex. Reporting to the Print Process Lead, you will be required to ensure our machine outputs are effectively optimised on all printing processes. In addition, you will be responsible for driving efficiencies, whilst also ensuring that quality standards/specifications are maintained. ROLE PURPOSE AND SUMMARY To support operations and ensure machine outputs on all Printing processes. Accountability will be to optimise efficiency and ensure quality standards/specifications are maintained whilst adhering to health and safety regulations. The successful applicants will join a busy department working within the Print Team to ensure machine output is maximised and quality standards are maintained across the process and individual machines. Key Responsibilities • Maximising machine efficiency to produce consistently high output and quality. • Problem solving on the machine, identifying technical problems and providing solutions. • Controlling and monitoring associated paperwork and computer records to provide accurate documentation. • Liaising with Team Leaders and QC to ensure quality standards are met. • Ensuring machinery is run in a safe & proper manner. • Ensuring waste levels are minimised. • Ensuring all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures are followed at all times. Employees are responsible for their own health and safety and that of others. • Actively participating in continuous improvement activities and contributing to the successful introduction of new plant and processes. • Producing high specification work on a number of processes. • Completing preventative maintenance requirements on equipment. To be successful in your application, you will need to be a time served printer with sheet fed experience, together with a City & Guilds accreditation or NVQ Level 3 in machine printing, or equivalent. Contract type : Permanent Working hours : Double Day shift pattern – Monday to Friday, 6am – 2pm or 2pm - 10pm (alternated weekly). From 31st August 2026, we will transition to a 24/5 Shift Pattern - consists of 3 crews of 12-hour shifts of either: 6.00 am to 6.00 pm; and 6.00 pm to 6.00 am, Monday to Friday rota. Attendance is 40 hours per week on average, including a 30-minute unpaid break plus a 15-minute unpaid break to be taken during the shift Base location : Debden Basic Salary : £54,561 per annum on double days, rising to £57,300 per annum on 24/5 shift pattern. Upon successful completion of a 6-month probation period, this will rise to £58,286 per annum. Skills, Qualifications & Experience City & Guilds accreditation or NVQ Level 3 in machine printing, or equivalent.
