Clinical Negligence Solicitor/Associate – Leeds A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and skilled Clinical Negligence Solicitor or Associate to join a nationally recognised legal team based in Leeds. This is an ideal role for a driven individual with a background in healthcare litigation or personal injury, looking to work on high-quality defendant clinical negligence matters within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. About the Role: You will handle a diverse and rewarding caseload of defendant clinical negligence claims, acting on behalf of a broad range of healthcare clients. These may include NHS Trusts, NHS Resolution, medical defence organisations (MDOs), independent healthcare providers and medical malpractice insurers. Key Responsibilities: Managing a varied caseload of defendant clinical negligence files, from instruction to resolution Drafting legal documents, preparing court bundles and adhering to court deadlines Conducting client meetings, settlement discussions and mediation sessions Acting as primary contact for clients, offering clear and commercially focused legal advice Working to client protocols, internal systems and industry regulations Contributing to wider team activities, including training, knowledge sharing, client seminars and business development Requirements: Qualified Solicitor or Associate, ideally with experience in clinical negligence, personal injury, or insurance litigation Previous exposure to NHS Resolution or MDO panel work is advantageous, but not essential Strong legal drafting and case management skills, ideally using an IT-based case management system Ability to prioritise and manage a busy caseload with a pragmatic and commercial approach Excellent client care and communication skills, with a professional and empathetic manner Team-focused, with a willingness to support and supervise more junior colleagues What’s on Offer?
