You’ll be the brains behind the building.
Not fixing things yourself - but making sure everything gets done:
Managing contractors (the good, the bad, and the occasionally late)
Keeping compliance watertight (think H&S, inspections, service records)
Owning schedules, systems, and processes so nothing slips through the cracks
Being the calm in the “the dock door’s not working” storm
Keeping the site safe, clean, functional, and running like clockwork
In short: you make everything work… without lifting a spanner.
Coordinate maintenance, suppliers and service partners
Track compliance (legionella, fire systems, emergency lighting, etc.)
Make sure paperwork is done, filed, chased, and actually completed
Keep an eye on costs and spot smarter ways of doing things
Communicate with everyone from contractors to senior stakeholders
Jump on issues before they become problems
It’s less “fix it” and more “make sure it never becomes a crisis.”
We’re not after a traditional “Facilities Manager.”
We want someone sharper.
Someone who:
Is ridiculously organised (colour-coded optional, but encouraged)
Loves process, structure, and keeping things on track
Is confident speaking to contractors and stakeholders
Can manage multiple moving parts without dropping any
Has a proactive, “I’ve already sorted it” mindset
Is digitally savvy — this is not a pen-and-paper setup
Bonus points if you’ve got:
Health & Safety awareness or background
Experience coordinating suppliers, compliance, or operations
A knack for spotting problems before they land
Experience in facilities? Helpful. Essential? Not really.
