HGV Class 1 Driver – Multi-Drop – Avonmouth, Bristol
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Avonmouth, Bristol.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.
This role is ideal for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver looking for consistent work.
Shifts:
• Four shifts over seven days• Working 12-hour shifts• PM start times between 15:00 – 17:00• AM drivers starting between 03:00 – 06:00 on the same rota• Rolling 3-week rota
Rates of Pay:
• £18.06 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
As a HGV Class 1 Driver your duties will include (but are not limited to):
• Class 1 multi-drop deliveries• Operating Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently• Carrying out pre and post journey vehicle inspections• Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly and assisting with loading and unloading when required• Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations• Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements• Maintaining a good understanding of Health and Safety legislation, Food Safety standards, and UK road networks
Essential Skills:
To be successful as a HGV Class 1 Driver you will need:
• A valid UK Category CE Driving Licence• A minimum of 12 months’ experience driving Category CE vehicles• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes)• A valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card• Good spoken and written English• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping• A strong understanding of UK road traffic laws• Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience:
• Previous experience driving commercial vehicles
Training:
• Driver assessment required prior to starting• Ongoing industry-related training and support
