C9 Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced and organised Duty Manager on behalf of a well-established coach operator based in the Slough area. As Duty Manager, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, working closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to optimise driver and fleet allocation, maintain legal compliance, and uphold exceptional service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Allocate drivers and vehicles to scheduled operations with efficiency and attention to cost control.
* Liaise with drivers, sales, engineering teams, and customers regarding daily operational needs.
* Monitor and enforce compliance with internal policies and legal requirements, including EC drivers’ hours regulations.
* Respond to breakdowns, delays, and other incidents with effective decision-making and communication.
* Ensure timely updates are provided to all relevant parties regarding service disruptions or incidents.
* Coordinate vehicle procurement outside of standard office hours when required.

Requirements:
* Hold a valid PCV licence, or be willing to obtain one.
* Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
* Well-organised, decisive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.
* Previous experience in transport operations is essential.
* PSV Transport Manager CPC is highly desirable—or willingness to gain it.
