Job Overview
The Engineering Design Draughtsperson will be responsible for the design and detail of components, assemblies and systems, bills of materials and documentation. Creation of 3D models and CAD images using Inventor to support the requirements of the engineering department and wider business needs.
The Engineering Designer/Draughtsperson may also be required to provide customers, suppliers and internal staff with technical support relating to the company's products

Job Holder Entry Requirements
* Education: HNC qualification in engineering discipline or time served background preferable.
Related Experience:
* 3D modelling skills (Autodesk Inventor preferred).
* Knowledge of Autodesk VAULT advantageous.
* Knowledge of the oil and gas industry preferable.
Key Competencies/Skills
* Capable of producing 3D models and detail drawings.
* Sound knowledge of draughting principles.
* Knowledge of limits and fits desirable.
* Experience in Inventor or similar CAD package.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Capable of reacting to changes and willing to go the extra mile to deliver quality products.
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a team structure, accept and understand instructions and specified timescales effectively.
* Flexible travel to other company sites if required.
* Knowledge and understanding of the latest draughting & engineering standards, rules and regulations.
Main Responsibilities
* Creation of assembly and interface drawings.
* Creation of BOMs into MRP system.
* Ensuring drawing databases are kept up to date with latest engineered revisions.
* Draughting support for the wider engineering team where necessary.
* Produce designs and concepts using 3D modelling (Inventor) to support Engineering.
* Interaction with suppliers and customers with minor drawing requests.
* Production of calculations to support designs.
