Engineering Team Leader Location: Stowupland, Suffolk Salary: £57,000 per annum Shift Pattern: Panama Shift – 7am–7pm / 7pm–7am (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off) The Role We are seeking an experienced Engineering Team Leader to join a high-performing engineering function within a heavy process manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on leadership role (approximately 60–70% hands-on / 30–40% management), combining technical expertise with people leadership. You will be responsible for leading 4 Shift Engineers, along with an additional 2 Day Engineers when working day shifts, ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of site assets. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the day-to-day workload of the engineering team Plan and schedule proactive and reactive maintenance via CMMS (AGILITY) Delegate work effectively, ensuring resources are aligned to site priorities Drive a culture of continuous improvement and engineering best practice Provide leadership, coaching and technical support to the team Manage contractors and oversee on-site engineering activities Monitor performance against KPIs and escalate issues where required Participate in the call-out rota and respond to emergency breakdowns Support planned shutdowns and improvement projects Maintain high standards of health, safety and compliance at all times Candidate Profile Strong background in multi-skilled engineering within manufacturing Previous leadership or supervisory experience Hands-on, solutions-focused approach Experience in FMCG, food, beverage or heavy process environments preferred Strong commitment to health and safety What's on Offer Salary of £57,000 Secure, long-term role within a well-established manufacturing business Opportunity to lead engineering operations at a large-scale production site Structured shift pattern offering extended rest periods If you are interested in this role and feel that you have the right skills then please click apply at the bottom of this advert.
