Commercial Electrician Manufacturing Environment Full-time | Permanent | Matlock Bath £36-38,000 per annum benefits 7-4 Mon - Thurs and 7-12 on a Friday An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Commercial Electrician to join a long-established UK manufacturer. This hands-on role will play a key part in maintaining and improving the sites electrical infrastructure, ensuring safety, reliability, and operational excellence across production and commercial facilities. About the Role As a Commercial Electrician, youll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, machinery, and control equipment across the site. Youll carry out both planned and reactive maintenance, support improvement projects, and ensure all work complies with current electrical and safety regulations. This role is ideal for a time-served electrician with solid experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and contributing to a busy, team-oriented workplace. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, fault-find, and repair electrical systems and machinery across factory and site operations Carry out planned preventative maintenance and minimise downtime Install new electrical systems and controls in line with BS 7671 regulations Support energy efficiency and plant improvement projects Maintain accurate electrical documentation and drawings Work collaboratively with mechanical, IT, and facilities teams to support critical site systems Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and statutory requirements Identify and implement opportunities for energy saving and system improvements About You Time-served Electrical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 2365 or equivalent) Proven experience in a commercial, manufacturing, or industrial setting Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills across electrical and control systems Working knowledge of Health & Safety and safe systems of work IT literate and comfortable maintaining records and documentation Desirable: 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) Experience with PLCs, variable speed drives, or automation systems Forklift and/or platform/boom lift licence Personal Attributes Safety-conscious and quality-driven Reliable and self-motivated Strong team player with good communication skills Committed to continuous improvement Benefits & Culture We have flexible hours and an early finish on a Friday Refer a friend bonus 32 days holiday Colleagues can get up to £3k per year for personal and professional development We have a in house sports and social team, team events, nights out, activities, subsidised food, loads of benefits & charity partners
