Responsibilities:
* Design and deliver IP data network solutions supporting rail and transport operations.
* Produce High Level Designs and Low Level Designs for complex network migrations.
* Lead and support the migration from legacy SDH infrastructure into a modern MPLS core.
* Support the deployment of a dual-core architecture with full failover capability.
* Contribute to the integration of OTN and IP/MPLS technologies.
* Develop and execute detailed migration plans across approximately 50 operational sites.
* Secure the network in line with critical infrastructure and operational technology requirements.
* Work closely with stakeholders across engineering, operations, and delivery teams.
* Provide hands‑on technical input during implementation and cutover phases.
Skills / Must have:
* Strong IP networking background with experience in large‑scale data networks.
* Proven experience producing HLD and LLD documentation.
* Experience with MPLS core networks (Nokia experience highly desirable).
* Understanding of OTN and carrier‑grade transport environments.
* Experience working in rail, transport, utilities, or other operational technology environments.
* Ability to work onsite full time in Woolwich.
* Strong troubleshooting, planning, and documentation skills.
