Marldon Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic, talented, resilient and committed person to encourage, motivate and support children in school. School work is rewarding and satisfying with no two days the same. You will ultimately be part of a team ensuring a safe and happy learning environment for all children. This post is fixed term, to support pupil with special education and the contract length will be determined by the duration of the child's needs while at our school.
You will work under direct supervision of the teacher to support access to learning. This may be by attending to the welfare and personal care of pupils; working with small groups or one to one; or helping with organisational / clerical support to the teacher.
You will need:
• To be calm but firm and enjoy working with children
• A minimum qualification at GCSE Maths and English.
• Experience of working in a classroom situation or a qualification as a Teaching Assistant
• Have good, courteous communication skills
