We are looking for an Assistant Front Office Manager to join our Reception team at the Old Bank Hotel.
Ideal candidate will:
* Have a passion for hospitality, high-level attention to detail and a positive can‑do attitude with a keen willingness to learn.
* Be able to lead, inspire and motivate people.
* Be excellent at interpersonal communication, coaching and teamwork.
* Have high-level written English and strong IT literacy.
* Have strong organisational skills.
* Have previous managerial experience within a luxury hotel.
Assistant Front Office Manager responsibilities:
* Represent and maintain the hotel’s high standards of personal presentation and behaviour, overseeing the procedures of the reception department, whilst on duty as a working member of the team.
* Inspire a positive attitude to teamwork, contributing to the smooth running of reception and encouraging productive interaction with all other departments.
* Liaise with the Front Office Manager & Head Housekeeper, ensuring the flow of communication necessary for the hotel’s efficient operation, at five‑star standards.
* Maintain the image and culture of the team, developing the skills of reception staff, in conjunction with the Front Office Manager.
* Maximise the hotel’s occupancy through efficient handling of enquiries, together with good teamwork and communication.
* Practice effective rate management through familiarisation with the hotel’s business trends, relevant to seasonal and local market forces.
* Support the Front Office Manager in maintaining and updating Reception procedures; ensuring daily checklists are completed, for training and procedural purposes.
We offer a sensible shift pattern, across a 40‑hour working week (Monday to Sunday rota with two days off) with an OTE up to £33,000.00 per annum, including non‑contractual service charge (tronc).
Part‑time hours may also be considered.
