Description
The job itself
Join us in reconnecting communities with Yorkshire's stunning marine and coastal environments.
Yorkshire Marine Nature Partnership is looking for a passionate and pro-active individual to help deliver the National Lottery-funded REConnect project. You'll lead workstreams focussed on connecting people to the coastline in North Yorkshire around the River Esk, supporting volunteers, managing project activities, and promoting sustainability through community engagement.
We're looking for someone with a strong understanding of Yorkshire's marine and coastal environments, and the wider social and economic issues affecting the Esk and Coastal Streams Catchment. With experience in project development and delivery, you'll be a skilled communicator who can build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders-from scientists and community leaders to volunteers and partner organisations. You'll need to be resilient, proactive, and confident working across multiple workstreams, using your initiative to keep things moving and adapt to changing priorities.
This role offers the chance to be part of a forward-thinking team committed to sustainability and community-led change. You'll contribute to a nationally funded initiative that's helping shape the future of coastal conservation in Yorkshire.
If you're ready to take on a role that blends environmental action with community empowerment, we encourage you to apply.
REConnect is a multi-strand programme led by North York Moors National Park and funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. This strand of the project is led by Yorkshire Marine Nature Partnership (YMNP), which is hosted by East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
