We are now recruiting for the exciting role of Lead Seismic Engineer, to be involved in industry leading, cutting-edge design project for a new type of power station.
To lead the seismic analysis and design of the RR SMR plant, providing technical leadership and guidance across civil engineering and wider project within this high-integrity industry.
This role involves the application of advanced seismic methodologies to ensure the structural integrity and compliance of critical civil infrastructure.
Daily activities include performing and reviewing complex finite element analyses (FEA), developing seismic analysis & design strategies, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to cross-functional project teams.
They will interface with internal stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and external partners to ensure that seismic considerations are integrated into all phases of analysis, design and construction. A key differentiator of this role is its influence on strategic capability development and its contribution to safety-critical engineering solutions.
Short-Term (0–6 months):
* Demonstrate proficiency in company-specific tools and processes.
* Deliver/review and validate seismic analyses, designs and reports for major structures.
* Establish working relationships with key internal stakeholders.
Medium-Term (6–18 months):
* Lead seismic analysis & design workstreams for multi-disciplinary projects.
* Develop and implement a standardised seismic analysis & design cross-discipline workflow.
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal cross-discipline training sessions.
Long-Term (18+ months):
* Drive innovation in seismic modelling techniques and tools.
* Represent the company in external technical forums or standards committees.
* Deliver measurable cost savings or risk reductions through improved seismic analysis & design practices

Pay And Benefits
We anticipate paying a salary of between £57,600 - £75,600 DOE plus:-
* Bonus - Performance related target opportunity 12.5%
* Benefits Allowance – £2,200 per annum, enabling you to create a bespoke package
* Pension - 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.
* Holidays - 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days.
* Private Medical Insurance - BUPA single cover health care
* Life Assurance - 6x pensionable pay
* £250 - One-off payment for new starters for home office purchases
