Job Overview
Applicants are invited to apply for the role of Quality Improvement Fellow in Frimley Emergency Department. The role is 75% clinical and 25% non-clinical. We are looking for doctors to start in August 2025.
This is an excellent opportunity for doctors to maintain clinical work while dedicating time to areas of interest. It supports sustainable working and enhances CVs and experience. Clinical fellow posts are also available in Education, Simulation, Trauma, Ultrasound, Research, and Wellbeing. Study leave: 18 days (10 days general, 5 days private, 3 days for exams/interviews). Study budget: £650/year.
The rota includes evenings, nights, weekends, and bank holidays. LTFT enquiries are welcome.
Applicants must have at least 24 months NHS experience. The advert is open to ST1/2 and ST3+ applicants.
Main Duties
1. Attend courses to upskill in QI methodology.
2. Participate in QI projects within ED.
3. Lead a RCEM QI project.
4. Engage and inspire others in QI.
5. Organize/deliver QI teaching.
6. Liaise with clinical audit and QI officers.
7. Engage with the Frimley Excellence team.
8. Work on QI related to national guidelines.
9. Coordinate with other specialties on relevant audits or projects.
10. Present work at ED QI mornings.
11. Disseminate QI work and maintain QI area in MS Teams.
12. Attend CEAC and research meetings.
13. Submit work for publication and conferences.
14. Collaborate with other ED fellows on projects.

Qualifications and Experience
* GMC registration
* Minimum 2 years NHS experience
* Relevant clinical experience in emergency medicine
* Interest and commitment to the fellowship area
* Motivated project work demonstrating initiative and perseverance
