JOB PURPOSE: As our Test Engineer, you will design, create, and implement test hardware and software to meet customer specifications and recommendations. You will research suitable solutions, estimate costs and timescales, and report progress of all assigned tasks to the Project Leader and Management Team.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Create manual and automated test boxes, cable sets, and technical documentation.
*
Produce electrical schematics and drawings.
*
Create and complete testing plans and reports.
*
Troubleshoot and analyze issues during testing.
*
Take responsibility for product testing at external test facilities.
Additionally, undertake any other duties reasonably assigned by the Engineering and R&D Manager or Technical Director.
EXPERIENCE
*
An apprenticeship with further education or an engineering degree or similar is essential.
*
Proficient in IT systems, electrical wiring, and cable diagrams.
*
Familiarity with software programming is required; PCB design experience is advantageous.
*
Hands-on experience is preferred due to the technical nature of the role.
Our ideal Test Engineer will be commercially aware, with strong communication skills to explain complex issues clearly. A logical, analytical, and creative approach to problems is essential.

Minimum 3+ years in a similar Test Engineer role.

Script programming skills.

Logic programming skills.
*
Experience with AutoCAD, ePlan, or similar for control panel and wiring diagram design.

Experience with Arduino.
