Sales Team Leader £35,000 commission Coventry Full-time, Permanent Mon-Fri 9am - 5pm Hybrid 3 days in the office, 2 days at home My client is seeking a people-focused Direct Sales Team Leader to lead and motivate a team of Sales Executives. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong sales background who has progressed into team leadership and is ready to take ownership of performance, coaching, and commercial results. You'll play a key role in driving sales activity, developing talent, and ensuring the team hits targets while embodying the company's culture of excellence and customer focus. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Sales Executives to achieve individual and team sales targets. Conduct regular 1‑to‑1s, performance reviews, and coaching sessions to support development. Drive a high‑performance sales culture through clear direction, accountability, and motivation. Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics, ensuring KPIs are consistently met. Support team members with deal strategy, objections, and closing high‑value opportunities. Deliver ongoing training in sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer engagement. Ensure the team adheres to company standards, compliance requirements, and customer excellence. Collaborate with senior leadership on sales strategy and pipeline forecasting. Lead morning briefings, sales huddles, and motivational sessions to set the tone for the day. Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and development of new starters within the team. Identify opportunities to improve processes, drive efficiency, and enhance team performance. About You Proven background in sales, ideally within a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment Experience leading or supervising a sales team (Team Leader, Supervisor, Senior Sales Exec etc.) Confident coach with the ability to inspire, motivate, and bring out the best in others Strong commercial awareness with an ability to analyse and interpret sales data Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship‑building skills Highly organised with the ability to manage priorities and support a busy team Ambitious, proactive, and passionate about delivering results What's in it for You?
