Strategic Manager - Children on Care Team

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Strategic Manager within the Children's Residential Service to work full time for Northamptonshire Children’s Trust. The salary for this Strategic Manager role is up to £90,000 per annum.
Responsibilities
* Provide and practice strategic leadership, management and advice on all issues related to cared for children and care‑experienced young adults in Northamptonshire Children’s Trust.
* Support the development and delivery of children’s services vision, values and strategic objectives for children and young people, and their parents and carers; lead on the development of relevant strategies, policies, procedures, programmes and projects across Children’s Services and professional agencies including the Integrated Care System.
* Manage the budget for Children in Care and Leaving Care and contribute to budget setting and ensuring targets are met.
* Chair relevant panels and attend and contribute to the Quality Assurance Board and Corporate Parenting Board, and any other forums as required.
* Work strategically with multi‑agency partners, elected members and other key stakeholders including voluntary organisations to promote corporate parenting responsibilities; establish and maintain joint working policies and practices; assess significant risk for decisions to enable positive outcomes for children, young people and young adults.
* Ensure effective participation and involvement of care‑experienced young adults in planning and development of services that meet their needs.
* Oversee all areas of service performance and support staff to achieve practice that is excellent, evidence‑based and underpinned by the Signs of Safety practice model with the voice of the child evident in all service delivery; ensure staff development and support.
* Support other areas of the Children’s Trust as required and provide management and advice on all issues related to cared for children and care‑experienced young adults.
* Provide out of hours cover as required and/or as cover rotas dictate.

Requirements
* Understanding of relevant legislation.
* BA in Social Work or Diploma in Social Work.
* Registered Social Worker England.
