This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Interim Accountant to play a key role for our leading Housing Association. Based in Lancashire, this initial temporary role focuses on providing financial expertise and supporting the Accounting & Finance department.
This housing association operates in the Lancashire and is commutable from Bury. Oldham and Burnley areas. Dedicated to delivering meaningful services to its community. As a small-sized organisation, it offers a focused and collaborative environment within the Accounting & Finance department.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and review financial statements and reports in line with organisational requirements.
* Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to ensure accurate financial planning.
* Support month-end and year-end close processes with precision and timeliness.
* Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations and internal policies.
* Provide expert financial advice to stakeholders within the organisation.
* Oversee reconciliations and address discrepancies promptly.
* Collaborate with other departments to align financial operations with organisational goals.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance systems and processes.
Profile
* A successful Interim Accountant should have:
* Previous experience ideally within a similar type of organisaton
* Qualified or QBE candidates are happy to be considered.
* Strong experience in financial reporting and analysis within the not-for-profit sector.
* Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.
* Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory standards.
* Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively.
Job Offer
* Competitive day rate of approximately £275 to £300, paid daily.
