VANRATH are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a growing construction company based in Newry to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and expanding team. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Purchase Ledger, overseeing expenses, supporting the administration of weekly payroll, and ensuring accurate and timely management reporting.

What you'll do
4. Manage the Purchase Ledger to include Expenses
5. Weekly Payroll
6. Weekly reporting
7. Management of the purchase ledger
8. Posting of overhead supplier invoices
9. Checking of supplier statement
10. Bank transactions and reconciliations
11. Credit Card Statement, Expense Claims and Petty Cash
12. Provide administrative support
13. VAT returns, ECSL and Intrastat
14. Provide assistance with pricing.
15. Provide support for the annual audit
16. Weekly management reports
About you
17. Experience in accounts and weekly payroll processing, Accounts Assistant or Accounting Technician
18. Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Sage 50) and Excel.
19. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
20. Good communication and organisational skills.
21. Confidential, professional, and team-oriented.
