Clerical Officer Role in Health Records

We require Clerical Officers to provide day-to-day clerical support related to areas of Health Records, including Libraries, Discharge Tidy, and Scanning.

You will rotate through various roles within the department, performing administrative tasks such as preparing and scanning medical casenotes and ED cards, and uploading data to the clinical portal.

This role involves physical tasks, including lifting and handling heavy case note folders, bending, stretching, and moving large volumes of boxes to maximize storage space. Candidates must also manoeuvre loaded trolleys and cages regularly.

Ad hoc duties may be assigned by Health Records Supervisors to ensure service efficiency.

Accuracy and attention to detail are essential, as data is uploaded to a live clinical system.

Relevant administrative or clerical experience is required, along with the ability to prioritize and manage workload in a busy environment. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Candidates should have education to Standard Grade (or equivalent) with passes in English and Arithmetic, and possess good keyboard and typing skills. Strong organizational and listening skills, a flexible approach, and effective communication are necessary for this role.
