Job Title: GDASS Safe Accommodation Domestic Abuse Support Worker

Job Location: Gloucester

Salary: £24,865 pa

Contract type: Fixed Term until 30/06/2026 - with opportunity to extend

Working hours: 37 hours

About the role

Working for Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Support Service (GDASS - part of, GDASS provides support to victims of domestic abuse (16+) living in Gloucestershire.

In addition to a range of support services, GDASS also operate a helpline.

We are currently recruiting for a Safe Accommodation Domestic Abuse Support Worker to join (GDASS) on a temporary basis, with opportunity to extend the contract pending future funding.

Please note that if you are successful in this role, we will require a DBS check to be completed. Further details will be sent following offer.

About you

The successful candidate will work as part of the newly commissioned safe accommodation team, supporting clients at standard and medium risk of domestic abuse where housing is identified as a need or barrier to safety. Identifying risk and creating support plans based around risk and moving on from domestic abuse. This includes providing advocacy, supporting them to understand the dynamics of abuse, and signposting / referring into other support services.
