NLC7 £30,467 - £33,142

Operating within St Margarets High School, you will provide a back-up service to the Design and Technology Department. Your duties will include care and maintenance of hand tools, preparation of wood and metal for classes. Receiving, checking, storing and documentation of equipment and materials. Making teaching aids and assisting teaching staff. Maintenance of machinery including cyclical maintenance on portable and fixed machinery. Providing technical support to other departments within the school as requested by the Senior Technician.

You must possess an SVQ3, HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant subject along with extended experience of working in a relevant environment with machinery and handtools. Good communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work with others as part of a team or on your own initiative and work closely and responsibly with children. Possession of relevant qualifications in other areas i.e. Computing, Electronics, Electrical is desirable

You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member through Disclosure Scotland and obtain a satisfactory membership check prior to commencing in this role.

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
