Apprentice Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Pre‑Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician. You will undertake a GPhC‑accredited two‑year apprenticeship through distance learning and the development of a practical skills portfolio on the CFT wards. Upon completion you will be eligible to register as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC.
Main duties of the job
This two‑year training post is designed to give the trainee the experience and knowledge to register as a pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and to work as a pharmacy technician to support a wide range of pharmacy activities. The trainee is supported throughout training, work experience placements and, with support, will learn to complete a range of tasks within timescales to a competent standard.

Person Specification
Education / Qualifications and Relevant Experience
* Min 4 GCSEs Grade 4 or above OR equivalent qualification including Maths, English Language, and two Science based subjects or Double Science.
* BTEC Level 2 in Pharmaceutical Science or Level 2 Certificate in Pharmacy Service (NVQ)
* Experience of working in a hospital
* Experience of working in a pharmacy
Knowledge and abilities
* Able to show evidence of interest in the work of a pharmacy technician
