Aim: To support a learner with Year 7 learner

Location: In the learner's home in Grantham

Frequency: 10 hours a week

Duration: Sept Start, until SEN placement is found or end Year 11

Support needed -The tutor will have a QTS and experiences with SEN, behaviour, speech and language and dyslexia. We can create a tailored education program for TH to ensure they have a safe environment to learn and for them to access the curriculum. Through PSHE we are able to support with issues they have with social interactions and emotional regulation.

Learner has a diagnosis of ADHD, ASD.

Communication & Language Needs

* Support the development of vocabulary and broaden their understanding of language across a range of contexts.
* Promote comprehension of abstract concepts and strengthen symbolic understanding through tailored activities.
* Develop functional communication skills, with a focus on understanding and using language appropriately in different social situations.

Cognition & Learning Needs

* The tutor will provide a highly structured, consistent and supportive learning environment, tailored to the pupil's individual learning profile.
* Specialist, dyslexia-informed interventions will be used to support literacy and numeracy development.
* To maintain engagement and focus, the tutor will incorporate the pupil's interests, movement breaks and multi-sensory teaching approaches.
* Instructions will be supported with visual and tactile resources to aid comprehension and retention.
* The tutor will be carefully matched based on experience and personality to help create a safe, trusting learning environment.
* Initial sessions will be low intensity, focusing on building rapport through enjoyable, interest-based activities, before gradually introducing curriculum content and addressing gaps in learning.
* The tutor will allow adequate processing time and adjust teaching methods accordingly to meet individual needs.

Social, Emotional & Mental Health Needs

* Through tailored PSHE content and one-to-one support, the tutor will teach emotional regulation strategies and support the development of emotional resilience.
* The tutor will help the pupil develop an age-appropriate understanding of emotions, behaviour and social expectations, promoting confidence and emotional well-being in a supportive setting.

About Education Boutique

We specialise in delivering tailored, trauma-informed education to students who may not thrive in traditional classroom settings. Our tutors are experts in their fields and bring compassion, creativity, and flexibility to every learning journey.

Aim: To support a learner not based in school with core subject tuition

Location: At the learner's residence in CV5

Frequency: 2 hours a day - 5 days a week

Duration: Ongoing

Extra information: This role is not suitable for online. This learner does have an EHCP with diagnosis of ASD. They are currently not attending school as school cannot meet need. The learners triggers are other students and so 1:1 is the ideal situation to help this learner. The learner is academically capable and reading at a 13.8 year old. The family are very supportive and experience working with looked after children would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

* Tailor sessions to meet the needs of a learner with a complex profile
* Use trauma-informed and pupil-led approaches to foster engagement and progress
* Build strong, supportive relationships with the student to encourage confidence and participation
* Track and report on progress, adapting plans as needed to ensure continued development

Essential Requirements

* Trauma-informed teaching approach
* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
* Self-employed status and right to work in the UK
* Availability during weekday daytime hours
* Reliable transport to attend in-person sessions in Little Bookham

* Skilled in supporting learners outside of mainstream education
* Creative and flexible teaching style to meet individual needs
* Strong communicator who can collaborate effectively with Education Boutique and other professionals
