A fantastic new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Senior Occupational Therapist to work in an exceptional private mental health hospital based in the Arnold, Nottinghamshire area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers.
This hospital provides acute adult mental health services, delivered in partnership with the area's healthcare trust. They have medium secure services on site for patients with a learning disability, and we are looking to develop other service types in the future.
To be considered for this position you must hold a qualification in Occupational Therapy and be registered with HCPC.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Providing clinical specialist assessments for the patient group.
2. Reporting the effectiveness of the service to clinical governance and other performance-related meetings.
3. Advocating and promoting the role of OT within the acute/PICU setting.
4. Forming positive working relations with the wider MDT.
5. Upskilling and developing the OT workforce.
6. Embedding up-to-date practices and evidence-based research into the service from an OT's perspective.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
1. An understanding of the therapy pathway to support the patient journey from admission to discharge.
2. Able to meet the changing needs of the patient group while establishing stability through purposeful and meaningful activity.
3. The drive to change and continuously improve while being able to communicate the need for improvement through evidence and data.
The successful Senior Occupational Therapist will receive an excellent salary of GBP35,392 - GBP42,618 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours a week. In return for your hard work and commitment, you will receive the following generous benefits:
