As a senior member of the Nursing Team, you will be expected to co‑ordinate the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of appropriate programmes of care for patients requiring ophthalmic care. You will act as a role model for nursing and non‑nursing staff and work with the Multidisciplinary Team ensuring a high standard of holistic care is maintained for all patients and families.
Responsibilities
* Practice autonomously as an Ophthalmic Clinical Nurse Specialist within the department.
* Assess, organise and prioritise care in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team with minimal supervision.
* Act as a role model, setting standards of practice while promoting clinical expertise.

Qualifications & Experience
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist in Ophthalmology who has knowledge of current research and professional issues relating to the specialty to be a part of our large Multidisciplinary Team.
Locations
* Countess of Chester Hospital – 473 general and acute beds.
* Ellesmere Port Hospital – 60 beds as a rehabilitation, intermediate and outpatient facility.
* Tarporley War Memorial Hospital – a base for community services serving a local rural population.
